Dr. Nneka Davis was born in the Bahamas and grew up on Grand Bahama Island. She attended Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine for dental school and the University of Maryland Dental School for her pediatric dental training. After 20 years of private practice, Dr. Davis transitioned to focus her practice to pediatric dentistry in a hospital setting where she treats the most at-risk population for early childhood caries and children with special needs. Dr. Davis’ passion is caring for children with limited or no access to dental care, with a special focus on kids with special needs. Currently, she is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Howard County Hospital in Columbia, MD and Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

Apart from private practice in Maryland, Dr. Davis enjoys participating in dental missions in the Bahamas. Not only was there limited access to general dentistry in the Bahamas, finding a pediatric dentist was unheard of. Like her younger self most children have a fear of the dentist so during her dental school training finding out that pediatric dentist who specialize in serving children existed was extremely exciting. Full circle, it brings her great joy to return to her home country to provide dental services in a public setting. When in the Bahamas for dental missions, Dr. Davis works alongside the Ministry of Health government agency to serve the elementary school children in Exuma, Andros and Bimini, Islands.
